Let’s Not Forget Why We’re Doing This

I hope you’re enjoying reading about the walks, but it’s quite a while since I mentioned why I’m doing this walk! Margaret received a lot of treatment and support from the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, who help cancer patients from all over Lancashire and Cumbria, as well as funding cancer research more generally. So far, through the generosity of family, friends and acquaintances, over £4,300 has been raised, which, with Gift Aid added, will come to very nearly £5,000. Special thanks go to Clitheroe Lions for their very generous donation, as well as five other individual donors of over £100. So many people have been extremely generous, with a huge number giving £50 - which in these difficult times is really heartwarming. But I also want to stress that whatever you give is both welcome and much appreciated. This is not a competition to see who can give the most, and small donations are welcome just the same as big ones. So, a big thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and if you’re reading this and haven’t donated yet, please consider going to http://www.justgiving.com/billhoneywell where divesting yourself of some cash couldn’t be easier!! Together we can all help to improve the treatment of people with cancer.
